Step 5: Finalize Your Participation

If you successfully pass the audition process and have been given a position on the Marching Chiefs Block List, there are a few final steps to complete.

Director Approval

Everyone participating in Marching Chiefs does so at the discretion of the band directors. You may assume you have permission to enroll unless you are told otherwise.

Register for the Marching Chiefs Class

Everyone participating in the Marching Chiefs must be enrolled in the official Marching Chiefs class. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Details about this step will be provided at the time the Block List is posted. Once classes begin, rehearsals will take place Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. during the fall semester.

Medical Examination

Everyone participating in Marching Chiefs must complete a physical examination to determine their suitability for participation in an activity that requires strenuous physical exertion. This examination must be completed before the first home football game. Please refer to the Welcome Book for more information about this process.
